It is not just Marathons but most distance races.A few things contribute to this, but it is not just Kenya but other African countries like Ethiopia etc.
Altitude: These countries sre hotter and have a higher Altitude than most other countries. The higher the altitude means there is less oxygen so the body gets used to functioning with less oxygen so when these runners race at a lower altitude there is more oxygen available so their bodies work better. ( Thats why all top track athletes do a lot of high altitude training ).
Another reason is build i.e. if u notice 99.9% of distance runners are small with no body fat but all muscle which is ideal for distance running. this is the normal build for Third World countries compared to Western countries who are mostly taller and carry more weight.
Finally because Third World countries are so poor, their people want it far more than the peoples of the ( richer ) Western countries.
P.S. Certain people e.g. Paula Radcliffe are the exception ( apart from the Athens Olympics where the conditions were the opposite of what she's used to. All her records were set at low altitude with cool conditions.)

They always win because in that country, no offense to anyone out there, but it is a poor country and most people don't have cars, so they run everywhere they go. I am serious, my Geography teacher told me.
