Get over it, I had nothing to do with slavery. White people please take a closer look. Black people make up 14% of the population we are the poorest. The Spanyards are still spending slave money from the ships the sold you all. Can any African American person you know do a full family tree? My hand are too bloody.

I thought you were asking a genuine question regarding pictures of slaves in chains and I have a few sites with that information. This message that you wrote just makes no sense. Spaniards were not the only slave traders and the majority of African descent people can trace their family tree back to slavery. There is also a contradiction in your statement. Are you an African American searching for answers or a caucasian looking for absolution?

I don't follow your question: do we need to get over it or do Whites? We are doing it to ourselves as well: absent fathers, grade-school educations, rapper/prison mentality (pants hanging off because prisoners can't have belts and seeing jail as a right of passage), and failure to look within themselves. But, in the South especially, we are still looked at as a second-class race. I am one of two black males in a majority white lady professional group. From the way they act, you would think that I have leprosy. The ones that do know me think the world of me. Whites (in general) don't believe that racism exists because it doesn't affect them. About the Spaniards spending the money, there were blacks selling slaves as well. The blood money is gone as Spain and Africa are not exactly rich countries. I don't have a fully Black family tree and some native Africans look down upon us.

My ancestors had a rough time also, and I can say that there isn't any nationality in the world that didn't have it rough once. I would rather be an American than any other nationality even with all the problems we have. Problems can be fixed. Look at the Israelites they went from having everything to being enslaved, but every time they turned back to the Lord, he raised them up again. We all can allow ourselves to become enslaved by something or we can turn to Jesus who will set us free.

I was watching Dances with Wolves last night...and, I got to thinking about the Native Americans that we White people forced our way of life on.
then, we import black people from Africa, to help build our country and not pay them a dime. take all their rights away, and treat them as animals.

Now, we have the politicians controlling everything...with their kick backs and over taxing.

this whole world is messed up, and the people who really deserve to live in luxury do not, and the people who are dishonest seem to have everything..

we need a new world. this is why we wait for Jesus

I hope this answered your question somewhat.

We can respect how they feel and support their efforts to be promoted to a respectable position in our society. And they can do the same for all of us. It's called working together.
