Respectfully, your statement can be viewed in two ways: (1) People who try to control others have very great control over their own emotions. If they couldn't control their own emotions, how could they TRY to control the emotions of others? (2) If you take the view of your statement, people who are in that category don't necessarily fail in the total control of their emotions--I think they're volatile people (how ever they should react, based solely on emotions and feelings without thought from their heads, is how they act). They feel the need for control---in their view, why not let that be other people?

I haven't found that to be true at all. Most people who I know that have no control over their own emotions seem to be very withdrawn from society and do not want much interaction with others, much less controlling others.

i agree with u to a degree , emocional people usualy try to control others depending in their emocional state because of their inabillity of selfcontrol . this kind of people ussually do not have control over what they speak and tend to say the first thing that comes into their minds if an emocion says so . although i do not think they are trying to control others , it is just part of not being able to control themselves .
however this is not true in all the cases , as some of the other answerers mentioned emocional people sometimes are very quiet . this kind of emocional people tend to get away from everyone and feel depressed all the time , thier inabilty to control their emocions makes them change from being very happy to really sad from one second to another . so i guess it all depends in the individual and how unable he or she is to control his/her emocions .

Emotion is reactive. The situation controls you. Things happen to you.
Reason is proactive. You control the situation. You happen to things.
Eighty percent of life's chaos (or lack thereof) is personal behavior.

That's control prick in my book. I share my emotions to people I care about to let them know how do I feel at that moment.

Very true. people living in the state of law do not reconize their unity with God in unconditional love within their heart. due to the concepts of duality they divide unconditional love into conditional love /hate and all its component parts. Attachment, possiveness ,fear, anger, hate etc. one should strive to attain a closer concious contact with God.
