seems as though the repubs love war as long as its not them or theirs doing the fighting so i agree with wrangel to reinstitute the draft and no exemptions for college .

Two years right after highschool no college exemptions. Would be a terrific idea. However not just for the republicans but for all. Most politicians have children and grandchildren. They would think twice and make sure the battle we are fighting are for the right reasons. They aren't going to send their kids/grandkids a purposeful reason.

I'm a republican and I wear the uniform. I would gladly send my children to the military too once they are of age.

I do not believe in the draft. But I do believe it is a good idea for everybody to spend a minimum 2 years in the military following high school. Plenty of countries do this and it does great things for their society.

I would love to see that 30 percent that still support Bush do just that. I was in the Navy during part of the Vietnam war and see nothing wrong with some kind of national service

If the draft is re-instated Republicans AND Democrats would have to go into the military. And as far as Republicans fighting our wars, sounds good. I'd rather have someone fighting for me who wants to win rather than trying to figure out what new thing might make the enemy happy today since nothing else did.

Those kids wouldn't follow in their parent's footsteps and believe and perpetuate stupid propaganda the way they do now. Yes, give them some hard work to do. Maybe the US will become a nation that can live among nations without bombings. What a thought!!

I think that you will find many Republicans currently fighting our war.

Were it not for someone "staying the course", America wouldn't even exist. It's a shame that there isn't a law against ignorance. Hummm......."staying the course" has protected the ignorant too.

Where is your God bless America for allowing the freedom to open your mouth?

I think they would pull out of all terror areas because it has been just too long. I say we do it.
