Hi Strat, that law's allways been there- men allways were second in law. Its just that women are even more agressive with their abuse now.

Wonder, interesting. So that's your excuse for supporting discrimination today. What would you have used to support only men being shot for being frightened in WW1?- it all just looks like the same discrimination.

After years of being second class citizen it's about time woman get something! Women didn't even get equal pay for the same job as a man. We didn't have the right to vote for the longest time. So who is talking about second class citizens here?

As far as the welfare of the child is concerned for the most part woman normally well get the custody. Why, Its normally REPEAT NORMALLY not always the case. Where the mother will be the one to stay home when the child is sick. Where the mother will give up working to care for the child. ETC. Maybe when the normal becomes the man staying home with the sick children or giving up their career to be househusband then the court sides with them. IN case where it is the husband that does the sacrificing he is the one that gets the custody.

Men have a right to family life now. If you are asking out of two equal adults who should get the children, in a divorce? I think the courts will always favor the mother as long as the women are the ones giving birth to the children. Would you want something you carried inside of you for 9 months to be ripped away from you?

Men and women should have equal rights in family matters. The current system favors women, and it sickens me that many women who rightly demand equal rights in other areas still say women should have superior rights in family court matters.

You have a problem. Do you hate women? That's a big problem.
