Your thoughts please. I am for it a 100% and they should be forced to check-in with the INS annually.

There's already such things called a green card (and a visa). Non-Americans are supposed to get them renewed regularly. Some don't check in to do so and that is why so many are "illegals". Yeah, others cross the border but the majority of "illegals" simply have expired visas. They come from all kinds of countries-- including many in Europe-- and not just south of the border. If you think rounding people up because they "look threatening" is right, you should be living in North Korea or Cuba.

Your suggestion is unconstitutional-- and against a person's civil rights. One day even you could be arrested if someone didn't like the way you looked. The US constitution is one of the finest documents in the world and it should be preserved for Americans' life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

The guy who blew up the Oklahoma building was a white bread American, how quickly you forget this. The 9/11 hijackers were listed in the phone book under their real names, so how would an ID card have stopped them ???? ID cards do not protect the public. ID cards take away your freedoms, not the ability of terrorists to blow things up. Where do people like you come from to think that people from other countries are the only threat. The highest prison population in the world is in the U.S.A and that is made up of almost 100% american citizens. I never thought people would be ignorant enough to actually volenteer to live in a police state but people like you proved me wrong. Wake up before its too late, oh hell it already is.

incredibly the choice. loss of closed borders are the actual threat to national risk-free practices. high quality and/or penal complex those hiring the illegals, deny any taxpayer funded reward, and the difficulty will clean up itself. The illegals will circulate away at no rate to the tax payer. it will be too costly to stay right here without earnings. they are going to circulate domicile on their very own and be conscious for reentry by criminal ability.

No. Anyone who is considered a threat to national security is already under surveillance as it is. For them to carry ID cards is just giving reason for the general public to fear and hate them.

I'd like to know how will you determine who is a threat. And how the card will eliminate the risk. Tell me, because I need a good laugh today.

The problem is, how are you going to get these people in to get the card since the large majority of our national security threats have enetered illegally. It makes sense but isn't very doable.

That is ridiculous. If they are a threat they will not carry a card or even present themselves as who they are.
