When I put new ink cartridges in the printer, every time we turn it on it prints out a test page. How do I stop this happening as it wastes so much ink!

I know it is supposed to run a test page when you put in a new cartridge but surely not every time you start up the computer. This is happening every time I turn on the printer - it is a huge waste of energy to have the computer and printer on all day every day.

leave it on , or cancel it from the settings if it has any or from the pc it is connected to, or maybe the cartridge is not on properly.
