I responded to an employment advertisement on Yahoo website, i.e. requirement of employees for Kingkoil Co. Ltd., London, UK. I paid money as per their direction to Indian contact for processing of documents visa, etc. with British Council Division, New Delhi. It turned out that they are a ring people in the business of cheating in the name of employment in UK. I wonder how reputed websites like Yahoo can put out such advertisements without even a slight verification of their credentials. It seems that internet has become a platform for commercial advertisements, e-form of business brochures, misinformation, misrepresentation, impersonation, financial crimes, sex abuse, etc. etc. Can Yahoo be made responsible for the consequential loss of money and harassment due to false advertisements put on their website??? Can Yahoo! at least now look into the background of the people who put the said advertisement on thier website in October 2006??? To whom I may contact in Yahoo! in this regard?

I havent found any. You might try your own Blog or set up a web site to offer a product or service. The internet is loaded with scammers just looking to steal your money and they don't care how any children you have to support. Remember - If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

You should never make payment to such placement consultants. Actually, the employers hire placement agencies to search suitable candidates and employers pay the agencies if the candidate searched and recommended by the agency is selected. If you wish to register your resume online, please ensure that you register with reputed agencies only. Naukri.com, Jobsahead.com, Jobsdb.com, Monsterjobs.com are some of the reputed agencies who offer jobs in India and abroad. Please beware of agencies who ask for payments from candidates.
