If you look at the behavior of any religious fanatic, you'll find none of them are "peaceful", no matter the way they call their gods.
Of course when you read the news you only are informed of catastrophic events, so that it's quite unlikely that you get daily information on "peaceful" Jews, Muslims, Christians...
But the crimes commited by a few are not commited because they are Muslims or Jews or... They are committed because the perpetrators are criminals, who mention their religion as an excuse (an extremely poor one), instead of analyzing other motivations.
A few people cannot represent the milions who share a part of their beliefs. The same way that the Jews who throw bombs on palestinian civilians are nothing but people deliberately killing other people, and their actions are not used to conclude that Jews cannot be "peaceful".

Most Jews are Zionists, so its easy to confuse the two.
There ARE Jews againsts Zionism. There are Israelis against Zionism too. they protest hand in hand with Palestinians.
