♥I ask this only because I see a lot of thumbs down on my last question, which is so not what I was looking for! There is very little music that I won't listen to, and only after trying it at least once. Be nice to each other! Thank you :)

I'll give anything a fair chance, although I haven't always been that way. There is beauty and talent to be found in any genre of music. One must be willing to seek it out.

When I was growing up I always told myself that I would not be like my parents as far as music is concerned. They seemed to turn away from growing with music. Well, I find myself in the same situation now, I grew up in the 70's and I am a big fan of classic rock. Now don't get me wrong, there is some good music out there today but none that move me like the 70's classic rock. I am not a big fan of rap, that to me is not music. I can listen to country, only in short bursts, I like classical and jazz music, christian music. What this boils down to is, I can listen to all types of music, BUT, not rap.

I don't listen to music based on "type"
I have about 5 radio stations that I listen to.
I like rock, soft rock, hip hop, r&b, rap, j-pop, classical, some country, pop, opera, broadway musicals, etc etc
that's just the type of person i am.
i believe from questions like this.... you see just how open-minded a person is versus to what they claim to be.
Most people are against rap because they claim it's against Whites... No. it isn't. But what other race has the same past as the Black race? Exactly. You forget that music is an art form used to express one's life and thoughts. If THIS is what this person had to grow up around and relate to... then they are going to relate their struggles... But it's a trip because THAT isn't all they 'rap' about. Most only look at it half empty... not the overall album... Funny. Close minded biased views are funny.

I'm open to it as long as it has good music and lyrics and not absurd. I can't get into music or so called music that glorifies gangs, thugs, killing cops and hating white people at all because it supports a thug lifestyle and some is very biased and racist. I like rock, motown, blues, some jazz, pop, some funk, country, and some nice old melodies so I like a wide variety.

Noone seems to have suggested each and all the a number of varieties they might hear too, and cuz i'm bored, i'm going to record my faves Electronica, Chillout, Rap, R&B, Hip-hop, Rock, dying steel, decision, Trance, Breakbeat, Glitchcore, Dance, homestead, Chip-music, Techno, modern-day homestead, j-pop, j-rock, apocalyptic rock, Drum 'n' Bass, Rave, and that i'm out for now, yet it particularly is merely the backside version of my record, sub-genres is going loopy

I like all music except for whiney country and I dont mean Johnny Cash country because if you really listen to the words of his songs he was singing about killing ppl and going to jail long before any rappers were...I mean he shot a man just to watch him die..thats hard core right there...

I love metal i dont know exactly why I do. I think I like the sound of aggressive music. I like how the guitars sound and love the beat from the drums. I like grunge also but I do listen to classic hard rock.

I like a wide range of music.. cassical makes me think how the music way back before i was born or evn\en hearing music on radio.. for the latest is like rap and hip pop is not really my type i dont like rap because is sometime and most of the time is swear words.. pop music i like and dance music can make me dance and sing^_^

I am very open, in fact I like all music and have a very varied selection in my house. I like everything from new age, jazz, rap, rock, fusion, punk, a little country, and even foreign music. I like it all and yes opera also.
