They are at it again,Acease fire was ordered by Isreal & the Palestinians but Hamas & Islamic Jihad signed on then broke it. Isreal has done all they can do to keep peace between the two states. They first gave Gaza back to the Palestinians but Hamas continued with Islamic Jihad to send rockets in to Isreal. If Canada or Mexico bombed us would we not defend ourself? Does not Iseral have a right to defend its self from people who want to wipe them from the face of the earth?

The " Jews" did not take the land, the UNset up the land of Isreal in 1946. 4 Arab countries tried to take the land but lost the 6 day war. Isreal HAS a right to exsist.

Both parties are to blame...
Hamas was wrong to fire those rockets at Israel, but if Israel knew
that they can't withdraw their troops in such short time they could have said so...The reason why Hamas fired was that the Israelis weren't fully withdrawn from Gaza, while Olmert said that there is no Israeli left there...
As for the Islamic Jihad, they said that they are not going to agree
on the cease fire as long as the attacks continue in West Bank...
I could only hope that those were the last rockets fired at Israel
and that both parties are going to work it out so that the cease fire works...

As for Gaza, sure the Israeli withdrew from there by they forget
to mention about the daily incursions in there trying to kill more
"militants".Gaza was never under the Palestinians control:not before, nor after the withdraw.Israel sealed that area:no one gets in,no one gets out without Israel aproval.Even at the Rafah checkpoint. And let's not forget about the illegal Israeli settlements in West Bank that have appeared after the Gaza withdraw. They were build by demolishing Palestinian houses. They were declared illegal by Israeli's courts ,but no one does anything to dismantle them, although there are court orders for this...So as long as things like those happens why would Israel ask the Palestinians to stop attacking them?So basicly the Palestinians should just sit and watch how more of their land is being taken and do nothig? To watch how some more Palestinians are being killed because Israel makes more and more "technical mistakes"?
Israel must obey some rules, just like other countries, but somehow they think they are above the law...

Sure,no one is saying that Israel doesn't have the right to defend itself, but so do the Palestinians...And everyone defends with the means that they have...

Arab countries did not tried to take the land in 1967.It was Israel who attacked the Arab countries in the 6 days war and since then is illegally occupying many territories:Palestinian,Syrian,Lebanese.
UN resolution 242 ,which was voted after the 6 day war ask Israel to end the occupation on those lands.Israel refuses to apply the resolution even today...
And UN voted for Israel to be a state in 1947 and Israel declared its independency in 1948...

Israel didn't withdraw its troops in time, so who is to blame then for Hamas to react as such?

And furthermore, you seem to forget the situation in the West Bank. Israeli soldiers are slaughtering, killing civilians, cutting off the water supply to the Palestinians, and blocking them off. Meanwhile, Israel sends bulldozers and other equipment to destroy Palestinian homes, and to build Jewish settlements. They are slowly advancing into the last remaining thresholds of what is rightfully the Palestinian land.

hello. why is the country called Israel in the first place. go back and find out who really struck the first blow. the jews took the land called Palestine from the Palestinians and forced them to live in concentration camps so Jewish "settlers" could build on their land. the only way peace will reign in that region is for the Israelis to give the land back to it's rightful owners.

I think America is to blame. We could give both sides 2 nukes a piece and say,"Ok Boys, pick 'em right." Four strategically placed nukes in the region would make to problem almost disappear.
