i always think that it's not a good idea. sometimes this can cause resentment and discomfort among family and friends. for example, because maybe they might want to borrow money that you don't have and they won't believe you etc, etc. I always like to leave my personal financial situation private. they do not need to know. I think only the husband or the wife should know

Only if you are borrowing from them, so that they will know how soon you can pay them back. If you tell anyone else, they will start to expect things from you because of money, not by who you are.
