iam currently in a drama club in my school and i also plan to take acting classes at the New york film academy. my gpa average is 3.0, will that be enough to get in emerson college?

I don't know enough about that particular school to answer. Suggest you check out www.collegeboard.com and the Fiske Guide to Colleges (2006 edition, or 2007 if available now...) as well as the US News & World Report college rankings reports...can subscribe online for $15 a year. Or the college's website! All should provide some helpful insights re: their qualifications. Of course, even if you're "dead on," there's a chance you won't get in as they receive many more applications than applicants they can accept. Good to have "the whole package" re: extracurriculars, community service, show passion for some core actvities and subjects. For you, I imagine it's drama and acting...
