I bet they don't have a star.
And I mean a REAL one; you know up there, in the heavens.
Type in www.starregistry.com. and see what I mean. I bought one for my baby brother last year. It's in the constellation Aries, which is his birth sign.

I would do two things. First get them a gift card towards one of their favorite stores. Everyone says gift cards are so impersonal...but truth is I would rather get one then get a present I have no use for and most people I know feel the same.
Then I would get them something I put more thought into...even if its just something like a personalized stuffed bear or something along those lines. Something that shows you care about them and a sweet little reminder of you.

How about some love. Think of some way to show your love. My grandson once gave out "Gift cards" that entitled the receipient to ten hugs. I used mine up real quickly.
another time he gave out gift cards for back messagues. I used them up quickly, too.
For a Boss, Maybe you could adopt an orphened child in their name through World Vision. (Maybe in a country that they visited and really enjoyed.)
Another idea might be to give them a subscription to an inspirational magazine like "Guideposts".
I believe that the idea of true "relational love" (with nothing to do with sex) is in real short supply these days..
The underlying idea of christmas is that God showed love by sending Jesus. God did not send out "Play Station 3" to the world at christmas. Rather He sent Jesus who would show the world what the true meaning of "relational love" is. Follow that idea in your christmas giving and you cannot lose.
All the best

Depends on your relationship with the person. If you're close, they might appreciate a gift of your company for a period of time. You may offer to spend an afternoon stroll along the beach with them or a quiet evening at home. Your time the becomes the gift.

Depends how much you want to spend. They could have a star named after them, or as someone already mentioned, make a donation on their behalf. I have a few problem people to buy gifts for and usually go for the ridiculous presents. Remote controlled fart machine, joke books. If it's your mother-in-law, better not !

I would concentrate on what they are really interested in. A particular sport, such as sailing or skiing, or a special hobby, whatever. I would look for a gift along these lines. If I could not come up with a gift idea then I would buy a gift certificate pertaining to one of their interests. Good luck to you!

Theres this website, I forget the name of it, you give poor people money in Africa to help them build their own compaines then the money gets paid back when their company is working position to make money. Then the money can go to whom ever you like. Nice to know that you care about someone. Its like K1 something .com Soory i forget the name or evern just give money to an animal aid or charity and put it in their name. I do that a lot.

First, How much do you care about this person?
If you really cared a lot about this person then you wouldn't be asking, But obviously you care just enough to try to find out.
You need to think about what they really enjoy. What makes that person truly joyful? I recommend doing something for them or with them. & It shouldn't be anything you would do for them on any ol' day anyway.

Perhaps the truth, about Christmas.
For only grace & truth is as everything.
And the material things are as nothing,
when comparing nothing & everything.
