My girlfriend is Russian and so having just asked her this question, here is the response. Most of England is a very beautiful place with liberal ideas and a functioning police force. Though she wasn't happy that clubs don't stay open all night like in Russia. As for the weather, she doesn't miss the freezing winters, but summers suck in UK. Summers in Russia are very warm, its nice. The first thing Russians think of about Britain is the queen and then Sherlock Holmes, she added
