Because she doesn't want anyone else to have you either. Some people, male and female, are like that. They don't want you, but at the same time they don't want anyone else to have you. It's a stupid game!

Some people think that the grass is greener on the other side. And that sounds like the reason your ex broke up with you but is now asking if you have a new gf. Seems like your ex gf realized that the grass wasn't really greener.

Well, to speak from personal experience, I ask after my ex-husband's well-being (including whether or not he has a new girlfriend) because I have genuine concern for him as a person. I am hoping he finds someone new, which is why I ask. I wish him the best in everything & want for him to move on. Just because someone dumps you doesn't mean she doesn't still care about you as a person or as a friend. :)

She is a bit jealous that you have moved on. She wanted to be the one who moved on and was happy with her new bf however she probably has found the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Either she is concerned or just curious. If she dumped you, maybe she feels like she made a mistake or she misses you.

She's nosy and wants to know if you can really live without her. Your friends should tell her you don't have one g/f...you have several.

she is just concerned, you have been a part of her life, and when she sees your common friend, her tendency is to ask about you somehow....
