Prevention is always the best cure.
Don't piss people off and you won't get hit.
Just kidding, raw, bloody meat for about an hour, then an ice pack or a pack of frozen veges for another hour.
Sleep on it and it should be gone by 2 or 3 the next day.

If you learn how to duck you wont have that problem ,but everyone suggest putting a steak on it help,s. PS! I am just kidding around about the ducking I know their is a lot of way,s it could happened. I was in a wreck and got bruised up some and they told me to alternate with hot and cold packs they say it will clear it up better.

all your getting hear is old wives tails.... raw meat and ice, only take the swelling down, it will still be black, maybe even more so.... what you need to do (and its slightly painfull) is you massage the area quite firmly for around 5 min's, this will get the blood moving again, and take the colour out of the black eye..... or any bruise for that matter

Time is the only thing. From purple it will turn to yellow before it goes away. What's the other guy look like? ha ha.

I'm very sorry that you have a black eye.I hope you are far away from who ever gave it to you.Violence is abuse to anyone.Ive always heard that a raw steak was good for a black eye but I'm not sure.Please take care of yourself.

I have always heard to put a raw steak on it but I think that a bag of frozen peas works much better...that will help with the swelling...and no way you can get rid of it it will have to just go away on it's own but at least it will not look as bad!

Raw meat, also I have heard that tea bags, warm can help too, but only on the most sore spots. Both meat and tea are supposed to soothe at the least.

Surgical spirits will bring the bruising out quicker, I guess a bit of make up to cover it up until it goes.
