if you're unhappy where you're at, then move. start sending out resumes. it's no big deal. maybe someone will respond with just the type job you seek.

No, if you change jobs you may go and start again at the bottom. Unless you can find a better job. Otherwise I suggest you stay where you are and keep working hard. You will be noticed.
