Yes...."The Notebook". I felt like an idiot. I began crying uncontrollably at the beginning of the book and continued to cry uncontrolably until I finished the damn thing.
I also had a difficult time getting through the last 4 chapters or so of "Marley and Me"
I think I tend to cry more when I already know whats going to happen which was the case in both books....

I have to agree with Les Miserables. I was sobbing hysterically, and I sobbed every time I reread that last part, the ending. Jean Valjean just stole my heart with his words, and I don't think i can every truly forget them...if you're looking for a romantic, sad book, this is the one to try. Victor Hugo plays readers' emotions like harp strings.

Yes. The title has long been swept away with tears that left my thoughts to move past the point , only to find a book to be written from that which surrounds me then.

Louise Gluck
First Memory
Long ago, I was wounded. I lived
to revenge myself
against my father, not
for what he was -
for what I was: from the beginning of time,
in childhood, I thought
that pain meant
I was not loved.
It meant I loved.

"Angela's ashes" certainly was upsetting, mainly because it reminded me of my upbringing, but I do remember screaming with frustration at the ending of Katsuo (Remains of the day) Ishiguro's, "The unconsoled", I certainly was, a very perturbing read.
