Halo 1 has a better story to itself, but Halo 2 has better graphics and new vehicles and weapons but was overated when it came out because of the new vehicles, better graphics, and new weapons. I like Halo 2 better even though the story sucks. My favorite weapon is the battle rifle because it is kinda like a sniperifle-machine gun mix.

Halo 2.....as it has better creatures,weapons e.t.c.
And my favorite weapon's the lazer sword.......i cut down many
with it.....

To me, Halo 2 is better because I really like the feeling of the larger levels in Campaign, yet there's less places to get truly lost.
My girlfriend and her kids just discovered Halo 1 pc, and I'm constantly being called over to get them "unlost".. Some of those levels just don't seem to make sense to folks that aren't regularly FPS players, and even having played all the levels several times I still kinda' have to run around a bit to figure-out where they are. Too much of the same stuff, over, and over..
The Halo 1 library level wasn't real thrilling, and when I replay the game now, I tend to skip it. The Maw level, where you drive the warthog along the spine of the ship before it explodes is definately my favorite level of all time though.. that and the driving on Cartographer (I use the warthog all the way through that level).
I liked the Halo 2 story, where they fleshed-out everyone and gave them a stronger reason for being there. It's not just a "Hey.. they're aliens.. shoot 'em all!" kind of story.. I don't like sitting through the story over and over though, I tend to skip past the cutscenes while I replay it. Of course, I hated the ending.. thinking I was JUST getting into the Overtime (Halo 1 Maw) part of the game and the words scrolled up instead. I just sat there in shock and felt really let down.
I loved the Halo 2 skulls, and exploring/ getting out of the levels.. It was much cooler in Halo 2.
Halo 2 wins as my overall favorite..
In Halo 1 my favorite weapon is the pistol, but I hate the pistol in Multiplayer.. I had to use to to stay competitive, but It was way too powerful. Fine against aliens, but not real fun against other spartans.
Favorite Halo 2 multiplayer weapon is the BR or Shotgun depending upon my "job" and what the surroundings are like... All else being equal, I love the BR. I love dropping banshees with the rocket launcher too though.

i appreciate all halo video games all of them are tremendous. If I had to chosen one it must be halo 2 because of each and every of the large jumps which could positioned you on correct of ranges. Halo 2 had way exciting maps and the guns were particularly balanced. The sniper in Halo 3 became way impressive and the score gadget became the proper similar with halo 2. the hot halo video games copied cod of their score varieties and weapon load outs which variety of ruined it for me. Now i'm taking section in halo 4 and that's a lot exciting and the proper marketing campaign to date. Oh yeah halo wars became epic yet thanks to difficulty-free in the experience that your into RTS variety of video games I borrowed it from my pal and he nonetheless asks me if I have and that i tell him no haha. I absolutely performed halo wrestle advanced or halo a million marketing campaign as i did not have stay yet and that i became in sixth grade at the same time as it got here out. All in all hallo 2 with the large bounce system faults impressive shot gun, snipe, or perhaps duel SMG with a a million to 50 score gadget became the proper for my section.

Halo-2 hands down. Better graphics, hijack vehicles, dual weapons and superb on-line play/maps. Fav weapon, plasma rifle and battle rifle. Deplete shield, change weapons one shot burst to the head and dead!

HALO 2 definately. ONLINE GAMEPLAY IS AMAZING. weapons and vehicles make it even better. i actually love the sword or sword and sniper
