I am studying Geography of the 50 States of USA. I will recommend that you go through Microsoft Encarta for Kids 2006, Microsoft DVD 2006. Another thing is to go to yahoo travel, click travel & the top cities of the USA are there. Down, click the other US states, the 50 states will appear & click each state. For each state, if you click it, the cities will come out, click the cities then popular top 10 attractions will be at the bottom of the page.
It will be a hard time enumerating all then putting the 10 tourist attractions. With yahoo travel, there is a slideshow of each place.
Enjoy! Geography is nice to study! I had tabulated all 50 states in oder with its nicknames, then its contributions, foods/souvenirs from each place, places to visit.
I had extended my studies to Canada, Europe & later on , the whole world. I am travelling vicariously at the comfort of my home.
Personally, I am a Filipino American. I am staying in the Philippines. I had stayed in California x 6 months, earlier this year & late last year. I had been to Hongkong also.
In California, San Francisco is a lovely city. San Diego is so widespread, I bought 2 maps , however, they arent that complete, I bought a 3rd which was more complete but I need to have a magnifying lens to study it. Even Californians cant visit all its places. Colorado in San Diego is spectacular. I enjoyed riding the trolley which gave me a better idea of the totallity of San Diego. I had seen the last American exit & shopped at San Isidro outlet store. I enjoyed Sea World & San Diego Zoo.
In Anaheim , California, I enjoyed Disneyland & California Adventure. You have to alot a whole day just for Disneyland alone.
In LA, I had been to Hollywood & Universal Studios. Comparing to the 2 other cities, it is a little bit hot here & more traffic.
I had been to Orange County particularly in Alisso Viejo, Laguna Niguel and Irvine. These places are also nice. It seems like nice living here.
In Camarillo, California, I had seen the biggest houses I hadnt seen in other places. Houses here are really big!
In Simi Valley, it is quite similar to Camarillo.
I had been to El Centro, California, its too hot there. However, cost of housing is lower, a 3 bedroom house, with large backyard is only $900.00 a month. In San Francisco, a studio type room will cost you $1,000.00. I enjoyed the 24 hour Walmart here.
Nevada is where you will see hotels which are side by side. Bellagio's flowers are great & its dancing fountain is better seen at night. You will see an Eiffel tower here.
Travelling is educational, it is tiring & expensive too!

try buying a travel guide. i'm not sure if fodor's makes one of the u.s., but i've always liked fodor's. don't miss north carolina. it's beautiful, with both the appalachian mountains and the beaches of the outerbanks, and a very mild climate.
