She's irrevocably tied to the current administration's failures - and is a poor substitute for Colin Powell. She'll end up as a professor at some conservative university, but her political career is over.

I'm not sure she actually has any further political aspirations. Her personal devotion to GWB seem to me to be her principal motivation at this time. But assuming she does have such aspirations, that devotion will almost certainly taint any immediate oppertunities anyway. Like an earlier commenter, I think she'll quietly slink off into a cushy private-sector job for many years.
However...long term and with some PR spin, I think the conservatives will find her a compelling VP candidate in some no-win race down the line.

Definitely! She'll be viewsed as part of the problem, not a solution. Although we won't have to worry, since Condi has vohemently expressed that she is not interested in being President.
It's a job, she says, she definitely doesn't want to have. I just hope that she doesn't bother wasting time running anyway (since she won't win.) If she doesn't run, I'll probably like her better.

Condi claims she has zero interest in running for President, so I suppose it really doesn't matter, but yes, her affiliation AND her loyalty to Bush mark her as unelectable. She's a follower, not a leader, and followers do not make good Presidential material.

It will hurt her greatly, shes a smart cookie though and knows with as much biggotry that remains in America the shelf life of the first African American president wouldnt be very long. SHe also knows that true power is not in the elcted officials hands but the deal makers behind the sceenes telling the pres what and how to do

I'm not going to answer a hypothetical question. That's the picture that pops into my mind when I think of Rice. Shell oil will probably look her up, she's done in politics.

Scott Stewart, the risk-free practices expert quoted interior the item, is rapidly at odds with the State branch itself, which mentioned that the funds had no longer something to do with the absence of risk-free practices in Benghazi.
