Eton Road out. Has anyone else noticed that when the results are announced, it goes like this 'and tonights results in no particular order, the first act that will be coming back next week is The Macdonald Brothers.'.....there isn't even a pause for breath. Now to answer why, I know the answer. The X Factor is a television show that is there to entertain and not the competition which it is mis-represented to be. The votes have little to do with the final outcome, except that there are millions of fools who pay 35p+ for the fun of 'supporting' their fave act. They are in fact supporting the production of the show. The controversy of the McDonald Brothers fuels the ratings, and as long as they help the ratings they will stay in the show.
If you don't believe me, here are some things that will happen...and bear in mind I already predicted that the brothers would sing '500 Miles' at some point, although I suggested that it would probably be in the final.
1) Next week Ray will be out, because there has to be one from each category in the final three contenders, and Simon Cowell will protect his girl prodigy.
2) The McDonalds will do a Runrig type type version of Loch Lomond at some future stage.
3) There will be a series 4, however with a change in panel, but this will be the last series X-Factor in the UK where it is beginning to lose it's shine. The program will probably be cloned by Endemol for distribution in the Netherlands and Germany for many years to come.

I think it was for the best to be honest. I loved both Leon and Rhydian and couldn't decide who I'd rather have win. Rhydian is in my mind probably one of the greatest singers, if not the greatest, produced via X-Factor, world-class, and I think he will be better off without the winners contract, I thikn it will givehim more freedom and he'll probably be more famous and successful than any of the previous winners. As for Leon, I think he is a deserving winner, his voice is unique(well i think it is), he has the likeability factor and is extremely adorable, and it WAS the public who voted for him to win so I can imagine him being just as successful if not more so than Shayne or Leona. The vote was apparently 1% between Leon and Rhydian nigh the end and in my opinion both were deserving winners.

the bottom two were Eton Road and Ben.
Louis chose Ben to go.
Sharon chose Eton Road to go whilst crying at the prospect.
And after thinking a while, Simon chose Ben to stay.
Eton Road were sad but really thankful for being given the oppertunity, and Louis has already promised them a record deal.

Eton road were sent home, but Louis did promise them a record deal!! (It was Ben and Eton Road in the bottom two, Sharon and Simon sent Eton Road home, whilst Louis voted to keep them in!) Anyway, hope that's helped!

Eton Road, personally all the acts should get the boot, they are bloomin awful, talk about Simon Cowell etc making money from old rope.

Eton Road. I think that they only got sent home because Louie said that he is going to sign them and manage them after the show finishes.
