latk--crispy fried patty made of shredded potato's--a Jewish food. Possiby the spelling is wrong here or I don't know what this word means. Sorry.
whiny--someone who is whiny is grumbling and complaining and trying to get something you don't want to give them. This is usually attributed to little kids.
snit--a little fit of bad temper. Doesn't usually last long.
hipster--an old word, from the 1920's or '30's maybe, means someone who is cool and with it, up to date in the latest fads, fashion and music.
schlub--someone who is lazy and boring and no fun to be around
natch--short for naturally. If you asked me, "are you going to the movies with us tonight?", I'd say natch. An affirmative answer.
twinset--a sweater set consisting of a sleeveless tank type sweater with a matching color long sleeved sweater to wear over top.
nix--no
slinky--either the tightly coiled toy as described by another answerer or--a lovely slender woman dressed in something silky and close fitting.
card stock--heavy paper that greeting cards and things of that nature are made of.
zinger--an amusing short remark usually made to someone else's more serious less amusing statement.
