I think he should have gone last night not Eton Road. I think if it wasn't for their bad to week patch before hand they would still be in. For me their made a great improvement last night and Ray carried on with oldies songs and his sparkling smile. :(
He does look like a panto boy. :D

The true meaning of 'X factor' is simply not there, is it? The only decent performer with the looks and sound of a star is of course Leona but the rest are all karaoke kings.
You are right about Ray ... a pretty boy with the looks and sounds of the 50s but nothing that floats my boat and I was a 50s babe as well! I think people vote for him because of his looks and nothing more. As for the MacDonald Bros .... well I still maintain that half of Scotland are voting for them ... it's almost ethnic fraternity I think! I mean they are bright and cheerful but in no way recording material. Oh and Ben .... wonderfully hairy and loud but rather dull ... simply nothing new. Leona has it all and her modesty beams through her star like good looks ... she will win ... no doubt about it. Oh, and I quite liked Eton Road .... last night they were vocally quite good, improving harmonics and each could hold a song on their own. With good looks to boot! And think how good they will be in a year if they go pro ...... but justice didn't prevail and Mr Cowell voted tacticly and made that choice very public and obvious. That man is fo far up himself that he needs to be reminded his millions come from the ordinary man in the street who supports good music. AS Ant and Dec are always saying ,,,"The public have voted ......"

I think that statement is unfair. The lad sings swing and that style as well if not better than Jamie cullum, and why should he change from what he does best, you would not ask Tony Bennet to sing Presley or Rap,He at least shows confidence and style, which is lacking in Leonna, however she is undoubtably the best singer and the polishing of the performer will come later, and she will win.You should be knocking the macvitie brothers not Ray.

I didn't like him... up until this week! He sang the first song well, not amazingly, but certainly better than Eton Road sang theirs!
The 2nd song he did, the Elvis one, was fantastic. It wasn't great singing this time, but was just a fun performance, which was more than anyone else managed!
Ray will never have the voice good enough to record an album, but he's certainly good enough to perform on stage in musicals on the West End etc.
Out of the rest, Leona is the only one who is actually good enough to be a recording artist, so really, it could be argued Ray is the second most talented, and certainly 2nd most like to get some form of career in music.
On the subject of Leona, wasn't sure if she could carry off the Whitney Houston song, but wow, she nailed it! She really really has to win. Her voice is as good as any out there!

Well said!!!He is about as much use as a one legged man in an **** kicking competition. He should have the week before, no doubt this is the reason why......
The scousers have got to be phoning in for him, same as the scots are voting for the McDonalds.Thats why Eton Rd went last night(apart from they are cack). Tore them straight down the middle like Everton and the Reds.

To be honest i dont even know why Ray is in the X-Factor contest as i always thought it was for the unknowen talant and he is already known as a child star from Brookside of which i think it an unfair advartige to other others who and just trying to make somthing of them selfs because Ray is already known to those who watched Brookside,
Ben To Win!!!!!!!!

I am amazed. This series is so disappointing with the best talent leaving early and those left behind like Ray carrying on. Who would buy his album?!?
I hope Ben wins but I have decided not to watch anymore.
If I wanted to see Ray in a talent contest I'd book a week at Butlins to see the redcoats sing and dance.

I agree with you fully i cant believe eton rd went yesterday.Ray seems to sing the same kind of songs on every show.I cant believe ben was in the final 2 as well he has an incredible voice at least eton rd are gauranteed a contract with louie so im glad simon voted them off to give ben a chance. And fair play to mcdonald bros they were better this week especially the last song was brilliant.

I wouldnt say he was rubbish but i think he would be great in a musical or something along those lines.I thought Leona was outstanding last night.Thought Simon would have put Ben out as he is probably the biggest threat to Leona.

Ray is a good performer and is certainly talented but I am not keen on his style. He was starting to bore me but I am glad he did jail house rock.. It showed he can do different things... It's kinda strange watching someone so young trying to pull off wearing suits and singing swing songs each week... I think putting him in the suits makes him look even younger and even more out of place singing those songs.

I cannot believe how bad Ray is at singing!! He so should not have got this far. I also think that people should stop voting for the Mcdonald brothers as they are even worse!!
