Incidentally, I spelt "immediately" incorrectly on purpose. I was trying to be ironic. Sheesh....

Yes, I'm notorious for that! It got to the point where my hubby now asks me to proofread the letters he writes!

Yes, I do. I also notice when words are used in the wrong context or incorrectly...such as "spelt" (instead of spelled), which was used in several of the previous answers. My mother is an excellent speller (retired educator) and she expected the same of me when I was in school.

Not really. It's odd since I'm not that bad at spelling but I seem to have developed this weird way of reading where I just look at the word as a whole instead of letter by letter. so If I'm not looking for mistakes I won't find them unless they're words we use so often that it'd be totally obvious.. like there, they're, their..

Yah even when I don't know how to spell a word I know when it isn't spelt right most of the time. It drives me nuts! You spelt imeddietly wrong. I don't know how to spell it but I know you didn't spell it right. Neither did I.

Sometimes. But since I'm not the perfect speller, I do utilize spell check most of the time.

nope, mostly cuz i can't spell vary well. spelling is in the DNA not a tallent, so maby its the same way with notesing it. just a thoght.. is it thought or thoght?
