Professional comedians know how to handle hecklers. Unfortunately, this is not true in Michael's case. His temper and rage were out of control and certainly out of line. Is he a racist? I think he's the only one that can truly answer that question, but since the American people are limited to what we see on that video, I think many are now assuming that he is. Sure, he can apologize and take steps to right the situation, but isn't that in many ways just bringing more attention to it? And of course, more publicity for him. I think it's a shame that Jerry Seinfeld felt he needed to come forward and help Michael out of the terrible situation he created. I think Jerry should have stayed out of it..but what's done is done. If nothing else, I would hope that venues will think twice about hiring someone with a temper such as his. At this stage in the game, he should certainly be able to handle a few hecklers.

I agree with you to a point; the problem is someone who would say these type of things in a public forum with absolutely no regard for the consequences and then come out with an obviously insincere sorry is dangerous. He's an actor he can be anything he couldn't even act sorry. I love Seinfeld and will continue to watch the reruns, but for me that's where Micheal Richards ends,I will not watch any show, movie or buy any product endorsed by him.

I"m glad someone filmed the whole thing so now he's being humiliated worldwide and this will show that racism won't get you far. From the way he talks I think he already has racist sentiments or he is just really good and making up insults on the spot. From now it's downward slide for him and serves him right.

I'm amazed at the attention this guy is getting. He was one member of an entire cast on Seinfeld, not a major star. I wonder if he didn't do it on purpose for the attention. If he did, it blew up in his face. His use of racial slurs was disgusting. I'll never pay to see him or anything he's in (if he ever gets any parts).

What he said was VERY VERY wrong. you just do not call human beings those kind of names. no matter how mad you are. You know he says he is not racist, but people who are not racist would never say such a thing. he could have handled it in a diff way and with out the name calling. He is sorry alright...sorry he was caught saying it.

Look, the guy's career is over so quit kicking him while he's down.
Jeez, a guy can murder someone and millions of people still love him.
Let someone say the "n" word and he's the most evil man on earth.
People need to get their priorities straight.
I guess people can't forgive and forget. Pathetic.

I think everyone's makin a big deal outta nothin. If chris rock and every other black comedian/rapper can make a livin off the shh.....N word......then why the hell can't he call someone who is hecklin him the same thing?! They can dish it, but they sure can't take it!! If people want EQUALITY, then it has to be in EVERY sense of the word! Hey, didn't they call him "cracka" first?!
