when a piece of Ag is dropped in FeSO4 sol. no reaction will take place. it is because Ag is less reactive than Fe so it cannot displace Fe in FeSO4

When solid silver (Ag) is placed in an iron sulphate solution (FeSO4), the silver will dissolve. It will then join up with the SO4^2- ion to form Ag2SO4 and solid iron will form.
