I'm a wheat farmer. In ideal conditions such as warm soil 65-70 degrees, and good soil moisture wheat will emerge in three days. But if the temperature is cooler it can slow down emergence to as long as seven days. If the soil is very dry we dry sow our wheat or "dust it in." In this case the wheat is planted very shallow and you pray for a good rain. Good luck on your project.

If you soak it in water overnight and the temperature is between 70-80 degrees it should take 2-3 days.
