So the mega lighting and cameras catch more details on her face?

But it might be a family tradition? She has talked about beauty tips she still uses that are family traditions,.. like ways to mess with her hair that involve metal and fire.

If you are saying removeing her dead skin makes her look lighter, then that is her real skin color and the darker is from make up, sweat, and too much time spent in hot lights or the sun,.. considering how bright her lights are... I'm going to bet that's it and there could be health issues if she lets the skin stay.

As for Racism and Discrimnation and all that junk,.. people who complain the MOST about such problems are the biggest racist,.. proud to find more names to call themselves or other people that are bad like a child that has just learned how to spell cat.

I acknoledge that black people suffer very much because of us, and that is why they fight back by becoming racists themselves.
I don`t know what Oprah did, but what I know for sure is that when black people spot me walking down the street and I look at them in the eyes they always have this agressive look towards me.
Of course it not true with everyone, just with those who have suffered, but my point is, even if I want to make friends with them, they will always keep a distance from me because they will know I am white. And they will think that the way I treat them is hyppocritic.
That is sad because I have never felt bad about blacks but I have terrible quilts when I see them looking at me with that sad look, as if they say "look what u have done to us, you whites..."
And they are absolutely right... I am quilty

And to take Rabbitt's answer even further this so called Angel of Soweto took Winfrey for a complete ride and defrauded her of $1.2 million. She also defrauded Bill Clinton and the United Nations with her stories about Black children being opressed by Whites. All invented lies and now she has been exposed and investigated. Lets see what Winfrey is going to do about that. Miss Goody two shoes.

If Oprah is racist, it would go the other way. Except for John Travolta, she gravitates toward her own race.

I bet she lightens her skin because of the cameras. I bet the very dark skin does not photograph as well.

i think of it shows a loss of tolerance and somebody very close-minded... however the sorrowful certainty is that there are minorities that do in comparison to a minimum of one yet another. I don't mean to flow on a rant, yet right that's an occasion: "All Asians recognize karate and consume noodles. All hispanic each and every person is undesirable and in gangs." and not even going to show the different sorts of generalizations human beings have because of the fact its an prolonged checklist & maximum of them are misguided and racist obscure generalizations. i think of being racist and generalizing is extra user-friendly for somebody to do than surely getting to recognize the guy for who they're... whilst we actually are all human. and not each and every guy or woman of each and every race acts the comparable, all of us have diverse minds and personalities.

Probably for similar reasons that so called white women get a tan to darken their skin. Or for that matter that they wear make up.

If this is the only lame question you can come up with, maybe you should turn the channel or start to analyze your own life.

Is her shade of brown offensive to you? (and why does it matter if she's light brown, medium brown, dark brown, or purple?)

Her philosophy of living stands on its own -- her color is of no significance !

OK same question, but with a different twist.
Why has she opened a school in South Africa that only allows black girls to enter. Whites are not allowed admission into the school.

That is the most racist thing in my opinion. She has caused so much hatred to be opened up in South Africa again!!!

maybe she just likes that tone of skin? just like white women suntan, it doesnt have anything to do with racism , its just i like a little more color to my skin, plus as you age, you do start getting shades on your face, and want to blend it all together, your dark eye circles etc ,, but only she would know what she does and why
