Download Norton Anti Virus free trial from www.download.com. Scan your computer for any virus and remove it. Good luck.

You should try to do full system scan first before formatting your pc since it's quite tedious :)

If that don't work, try to download adware from: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware
and do a scan.

If you know what virus you are infected with, it's much easier to get rid of it by manually removing the core files and registry!

To remove them download the file from the link below, extract it on your desktop.

http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip

Then run the SMitFraudFix.bat file. It should fix it.

For future protection you can use utilities like Spybot -Search and destroy, AdAware, Windows Defender(microsoft) Most of them are free.
Aslo try Prevx from www.prevx.com. This is good anti-spyware solution.
