I was just curious why some people hate gays so much and have to put them down ? Could it be they're homophobic to a very high degree ? Why don't people realize that people are just people regardless of their sexuality, color or whatever the prejudice is about on that person ? I am sure many blacks , Gays and various types of people fought for this country's freedoms and put their lives on the line so we all could be free to be what we TRULY are inside and how we choose to live our lives which is each individuals' right.

The Bible and the Qu'Ran*. No other religion that of which I'm aware has such an injunction. Anthropologically homosexuality has been accepted in more cultures than not, especially warrior cultures, Greece, Rome, the Celts, the Native Americans, the Samurai, and many others. It's as if cultures which condemn homosexuality condemn sexuality in general, and seek to make men ashamed of being men. Consider that Christianity eschews all non-procreative sex of any kind, not just Gays, Hetero couples who perform oral sex are sinning just as much as we are. The American Psychological and Psychiatric Associations declared homosexuality a perfectly normal and healthy form of human sexuality as far back as 1975, they did the same with BDSM in the late '80s. For that matter, why do Gays put down Bis, like the French Philosopher said, "I did not choose to be who, and what, I am, but since it is me, I will neither deny nor apologize for it."

In my case I don't hate gay people I just disapprove of what they believe is right. Why do people hate other cultures or races? Same thing they feel people live in a certain way that's not necessarily what they believe is the best quality of life.

I understand you can say but why is it any ones business what people do in private but if someone believes that what that other person is doing corrupts this world that's where we get defensive.

I'm sure there is something that you don't agree with and that you dislike people doing and you can see someone doing it and your going to dislike the person for doing that thing you dislike Cu's 1 by 1 it's starts becoming normal to society the more people do one thing the more normal things seem and if your against that believe you don't want that to spread.

Does it make sense to you what I'm saying?
Hope it does.

I think to avoid the real problems people pick a scapegoat. In America it has been blacks, Jews, Irish, Unionists, Arabs, Japanese, etc. Gays make an easy target for the hate of some. And that hatred is currently supported by many Christian churches and many in the government. The difference now than 40 years ago is that gay people are organized and fighting back. That makes the haters all the more spiteful.

Marty K how do homosexuals spread hate? Just another random excuse to justify your rant on how wrong GTLB people are?

The reason I think why people hate gays so much, like Marty K for example, is because they are like school bullies. They pick on people they see as different and make them the lesser value for their personal gain, to make them feel better for themselves. The thing they fail to see is that everyone has their faults and you shouldn't spend your life judging others when you have mistakes that they don't personally hate you for.

Ignorance and fear are usually the two negative emotions behind hate. Also, sadly, some people feel threatened by anyone different to themselves. There is never an excuse for prejudice - we are all human beings with hearts and souls.

ignorance and intolerance, plain and simple. what really bothers me is that i had to hide who i was while in the service. I'm a retired war vet and fought for this country's freedom and wasn't free to be who i am. to this day as far as the military is concerned i still have to hide it for fear of losing my pension that i worked hard to get

Religious intolerance incites bigotry. Preachers love to condemn the "sins" of other people (regardless of their own hypocrisy, such as Rev. Ted Haggard, Rev. Jim Bakker, Rev. Jimmy Swaggart and others), and that only fuels the fire of emotional people who love any excuse to hate people.

People guys because they have given up. ity is a choice, a choice that could have been made ly, but it is a choice. I don't s - i am not a - but i feel bad for them. I feel that s have given up fighting these emotions and feelings.

Fighting these impulses makes us humans. Those that give up might as well give up keeping themselves from raping, , hurting, or harming any others.
