Our generosity to the world. In a disaster situation, we are often the first country to respond, and stay on longer. We give more money to those affected, by the government, and through donations from private citizens and corporations than other countries.
Yes we make mistakes, yes, we do not necessarily take care of our own disasters as well as we could, and yes, we tend to be a little selective about who's wars we help fight, we ignore genocide in Africa, and go to the middle east to fight their war for them. Control of the world's petroleum resources seems to be a priority.
But, for example, after the sunami, we were there, and we are still there.
And for a second reason, our freedom in this country is greater than any other country's, in my opinion. I am proud of that.
and to prove that point, if we are such a war mongering awful country, why does almost everyone in the world, it seems, want to come here? I spoke with a man from Hong Kong, I believe. I had called my computor company because of a glitch, and we were waiting for my computor to restart. He wants to come to America, and was asking me some very pointed questions about salaries, and life here.. He also asked if California was as good as it sounded[I paraphrased his actual question]. I told him about the amount of salary, verses the cost of living there.
Long live the USA, the land of opportunity, and freedom.

that we are slowly making progress, at society /cultural/human rights issues, and while at times it seems so slow, equal rights, turning from racism,,, in the whole context of things, and with viewing other countries, i guess in our short time as a country we have made great progress, and im proud of those who have stood up for such progress, from the famous to the "little person".

The total freedom we enjoy here in Australia! We have lots of room and not a real big population. Another reason is because;
I love a sunburned country
A land of sweeping plains
Of rugged mountain ranges
Of droughts and flooding rains
I love her wide horizons
I love her jewelled sea
Her beauty and her terror
That sunburned lands' for me
