Bisexual: feeling sexual attraction to both men and women.
That's it, plain and simple! You don't have to be equally split on your attraction- it can be 95% one gender and 5% on the other, or some other proportion, or an even 50-50. Neither do you have to have romantic attraction to each . . . sometimes a person will have sexual attraction to one, and sexual and romantic attraction to the other, or sometimes the person has a more 'equal-opportunity' approach, where gender doesn't matter to them.
You do not have to have had sexual experience with both genders to be bisexual (take it from me, a bisexual virgin!), nor do you have to engage both genders in dating or sex to qualify. It's only about the attraction. There are some bisexual men who have never slept with a man and are happily and monogamously married to women. Of course, some do decide to be polyamorous and have threesomes or boyfriends and girlfriends at the same time, as well.
Hope that helps!

Its one of those things - how do you define sexuality. Bisexual is having an attraction of a romantic and or sexual nature to the same and opposite sex. Bisexuality on some level or other can exist in more people than alot would be comfortable admiting. It really boils down to how far do you feel willing to go in a relationship with either sex and that line in the sand you choose to draw is what defines your sexuality. I think the best thing to do is avoid definition, as that is only a word or term and just find your own comfort zones based on what you want out of a relationship!

A bisexual is a person who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to persons of either gender. Most bisexuals prefer one gender to the other, but their inability to deny their feelings for any gender is what differentiates them from homosexuals and heterosexuals.
Bisexuality takes many different forms. Some bisexuals will alternate between genders when choosing a date. Others claim that gender has no bearing on whether they love a person hence the popular bisexual phrase "Love counts more than gender,"

The Kinsey Scale defines heterosexual as physically incapable of become aroused by a member of the same sex, and homosexual as the reverse. This means that any one in prison who has sex with a member of the same sex is bisexual, since, if they were straight, they would be incapable of doing that. Kinsey also thought that a totally hetero/homo sexual was extremely rare, and that most of us are some degree of bisexual, although most also have a strong preference one way or the other.

Research shows that over 70% of men and women are bisexual to one degree or another. That means, most of us can have an occasionally thought about our same gender, or at the other extreme, we can be very active in seeking intimacy with our own gender as well as with people of the opposite gender. It all just depends on where we are on that scale. And, of course, on all of the sexual fears we have taken on from our respective cultures or religions.

The usual meaning is that you are attracted to both genders on some level. Some people are more attracted to one or the other, other people are attracted equally to both genders.
