As a local in the Kansai area, in terms of travel time it's a pretty good location. Thirty minutes away from Osaka means you can easily get to Kyoto or Kobe for whatever you want. It seems like they will know English and they should be able to show you some interesting parts of Japan. Thirty minutes from Osaka puts you out into a quieter area. The prices are similar to those of other Japanese hotels. Stay here unless you have friends in the area who are willing to take you in. Have a great time.

The price is reasonable, and I like the facilities, especially the gate, entrance, reception, tatami guest rooms, and inner garden. That's good they have an English-Japanese bilingual staff.
It takes an hour to get to Kyoto by train, though. (about 30 min to Osaka and 15 min to Nara.) Kyoto is the most historically significant and popular destination in Japan.

Wow..this house is located in the next station of Horyu-ji temple. There are "the world oldest wooden construction" in Horyu-ji.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C5%8Dry%C5%AB-ji
The owner of this guest house says,in Japanese, he/she made this house to welcome foreign tourist, and also says they give priority consideration to the reservation from the foreign tourists.
I think this is not bad.
It says "5% income tax is included."
Please ask if they offer you 10% hotel charge or service charge. Some hotels offer this to you in Japan. But I think they don't.
And you better ask about "bath" as well. This is cheap I guess they don't hold individual bath room.

One crooked gaijin house is just as good as the next. Watch out for those hidden fees & charges! The japanese are masters at nickeling & diming people out of their money - but it's all done in an "honest" manner, so it's okay!
