the x-rays found objects in his intestine, perhaps he killed himself in such a way as to make it appear a state execution? If Putin had wanted him dead it would have been much simpler to hire a hitman and have him shot.

Tinkerbel - there are suicide bombers every day, so someone believes enough to die.

Litvinenko had been a Russian agent, as such he would have carried a suicide pill and been prepared to use it. It he knew they would get to him sooner or later this may have been a way to cause maximum damage to Putin.

>>>>> The photos of him in hospital without any hair show him to be relaxed, almost complacent. Thanks for you comments but I still think this is deliberate. A KGB agent is a hard man.<<<<<

No. If Litvinenko committed suicide, why would he poison himself with a rare manmade radioactive substance that would cause an agonising death? Surely an agonising death is a much better warning to other potential 'Putin traitors' than a quick and dirty gunshot to the head?

Sure the ones who killed him could have found other ways of killing him,but I doubt that he committed suicide just to blame Putin...It would be a too extreme measure and a really stupid act...How much can someone hate a person in order to commit suicide just to blame him?
Qwerty is right...the violent death of Litvinenko was a message to all of those who are thinking of betraying Russia...

I am perfectly aware that there are people that are ready to die for what they believe in,but I really don't think he is one.I still think that he was assassinated ,most probably by Russians...

No, Putin is a coward. Of note is that the nuns in my school used to make us pray for the Godless Communists. It is interesting to learn that it wasn't the Commies who were "Godless," but the Russians themselves. While the nuns were serious in their usage, I use the term "Godless," loosely, to indicate what a lack of moral character Russians have. I think it is all that Vodka. Average life expectancy in Russia is 55. This can be put down to drinking Vodka like water.

If Litvinenko wanted to commit suicide and frame Putin for it, there are many ways he could have done it that would have been less masochistic. Swallowing something that is radioactive and then waiting to die the slow torturous death that would result is beyond bizarre. I seriously doubt your prmise.

or perhaps he thought he was ingesting some top secret info, but either way a very ingenious way to get rid of him.
