I had the same problem when I first used tampon. I used to apply pads before that.First 2/3 times of using Tampons were quite uncomfortable for me. The trick is you have to insert the 1st part of the tampon into your vagina until the wavy part of the stick. Then you hold the wavy part of the tampon with one hand and press the 2nd part ( which remains outside the vagina ). You may find that its not being inserted , you then press it with left-right and upward pressure. Once it has reached to the first part, you pull out both the parts. one string will be hanging from your vagina which is to pull out the tampon when you need to change.

You don't have to change the tampon when you go to toilet. The tampon remains inside your vagina. So you can loo without changing it. You have to change tampon in every 4 hours.

Its great for working girls. You can wear tight cloths, swim with tampon. Its comfortable once you get used to it.

This is down to personal prefenence. I use tampons for two reasons. 1st, I am a sporty person, and pads would get in the way of my sports. Secondly, once you get into wearing them, you wont notice them if they are inserted correctly. If you are not comfortable putting them in, you may be too young. Just give it a couple of months ant try again. Also, make sure you try the ultra slim type, like Tampax Minis, the first time. These are much easier to use. You don`t need to change every time you go to the toilet. Your pee comes out from a different hole. You might like to get a mirror and have a look. It`s good for a girl to know her body.

I had they same problem it took me long time to start using a tampon's. I tried the first time and i had no idea how people could use them just the thought of it freaked me out I couldn't do it so gave up . But then I realize that i really needed to use them cause wearing a pad was so uncomfortable it was like wearing a diper. So i tried again and it worked haven't stoped using them since. Good Luck! : )

well tampons are just more practical, you dont feel them there and they are easy to apply. You can kinda just forget they are there, whereas with a pad, besides The fact that you feel like you are wearing a diaper, i find that there is a scent that goes along with wearing a pad. With a tampon it all kinda stays inside till you switch it up, with a pad you bleed and then it just stays there, its pretty gross. I think you should give tampons a second chance, maybe you were applying them incorrectly?

I'm thirty years old and I use pads - always have. If you don't like using tampons, don't use them. Obviously you can't go swimming wearing a pad, and you can't wear tight clothes, but you can do everything else that a girl wearing a tampon can, yet you don't have to worry about toxic shock syndrome.

I don't like the idea of them either. I'm 22 and I have never once even thought of using one. Keep using what YOU want to use and what you feel is most comfortable. There are more ppl out there that use pads than you probably think.

I dont use anything else. I love them. the first few times will feel wierd but it is short lived. Just keep changing them about every 6 hours to stay clean and of course bath daily.
