ok why do people keep saying fall out boy and my chemical romance and bands like that are goth? no one in the bands are goth. its emo not goth. and because people listen to it it doesnt mean they wanna kill themselves or the people in the bands wanna kill themselves either. i listen to those bands and im very happy and i have no thoughts bout suicide and neither do the people in the bands. some people on here are complete idiots

I'm a huge fan of fall out boy and my chemical romance too and like you I'm heaps happy and never think about suicide or murder or anything like that. however i think one of the reasons may be that everyone has their own opinions and interpretations, weather they are right or wrong.
and also there are many stereotypes out there that if you listen to music like this that you are emo or goth and that all emos and goths are suicidal and cutters...this soooo isnt even true...
NOT ALL EMO PEOPLE CUT!!

It's no different than when I was in high school. I listened to Static-X, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Fear Factory... and everyone just assumed I was some Satan worshiping weirdo... or people would blame that music on school shootings and such. People just want to blame something for everything. It's stupid and annoying. And the next generation of music will be the same. It will never end. People did it back in the day too.. Elvis promoted promiscuity......c'mon!
