We are evolving. The question is, "What traits will favor reproducton?" Intelligence is likely. Better reading (less dyslexia) may emerge. Wild physical alterations are unlikely. Watch for the unexpected. We should have a hint in 10,000 years.

If we have to survive by swimming, yes, we will probably evolve to something that can swim faster, either by using fins or joining our legs together to form a tail. You don't have to look far to see examples of this, dolphins and whales were once land animals which evolved to better survive in the water. In the unlikely event that our civilisation stays the same while becoming a "Water world", and we keep our technology for long enough, then the selective pressure will not be there for adaptive changes.

Telepathy, if it exists, would have helped to survive to adulthood, so would have been part of our common gene pool by now. The fact that is not common means that it probably does not, and cannot exist.
Why use telepathy when ordinary controls work quite well? Lightning reflexes and instant command (as attributed to telepathy) still requires mechanical movement of engine parts, motors, thrusters etc.

You've seen Avatar one to many times. "there's no denying" Actually, science DOES deny many of these things and denies them quite well. Dreams do NOT accurately predict future events, and even when they do it is usually a self-fulfilling prophesy ("I dreamed I was living in New York so I moved to New York") or one of a number of known outcomes ("I dreamed I got this job I was applying for" - yes, because getting it or not getting it were the only possible options). And while some people have anecdotes of not getting on a plane because they'd dreamed it would crash, there is not one verifiable, documented case of anyone waking up and writing down or informing officials in advance that a particular plane would crash PRIOR to the plane actually crashing. And Mentalists read body language, yes, a skill that is not supernaturally "connected" to other people in any way, but one that can be easily learned by anyone with the patience to do so (and easily deceived by those who want to do so). My advice is learn about statistics, probability, and coincidence because that's how much of the real world operates.

Personally, I think the human form has reached it's peak in evolutionary form. We. as a species has ridden a wave that surpasses earths expectations of any given species. Look at our achievements and what we have gained. Longer life, curing illness that wiped out whole nations and technology that would have amazed our forefathers.
Unfortunately, I believe mankind will die out, as did the dinosaurs. They once ruled the earth. Or, he, mankind will change himself, rather than naturally evolve. Look at how man is genetically mutating plants and animals, how man is cloning animals and how we are looking at extending life with stem cell technology.
Will we become a race of mutated life forms that bear no resemblance to what we are now due to man fixing man to survive mans damage to the planet. I know I will not live long enough to see and I hope no one finds the elixir of life so that I end up seeing it!

My theory is that the aliens that visit earth are our future. That is what we will evolve into. The blurred figure behind the grassy knoll. That is a space created for our future to come back to witness history. A bit like a history excursion from the future to the past. Yes we will evolve exponentially at a rapid rate.
