there are no good bars downtown, close to downtown is Rush street and that is a happenin place (Rush and Division) thats called near north or "The Gold Coast" area. That Harlem and Irving Pk area is almost to the no mans land (the land beyond o'hare) airport which is way west and NOT cool. there are some excellent places to party on the north aide of Chicago on Clark street near Cubs Park in Wrigleyville, or in the Clark and Belmont area, also pretty good is Bucktown or Wicker Park is a hot spot, but baby ain't no good clubs or bars downtown pick up the Chicago Reader around any area I just told you about (or pick up Nightlines which is available mostly in the Clark Belmont , (boystown) area) when you get here, there is a whole section of every nightclub and bar in chicago you will have a lot of fun because CHICAGO KNOWS HOW TO PARTY

I know one on the Northside of Chicago area.. Near Harlem and Irving.. It is called Main Pub.. Opposite end of Rolling Stone.. It is very nice in there.. Check it out..
