Backdrop- Very outgoing once I meet the right people, and entertaining like an actress/comic with many people. Mom at 17, brought up by a recluse, and usually had friends because there were plenty of people who approached me.
What do I do to get over my fears of reaching out, now that I actually have to? Not a church-goer... any ideas?

Also, find someplace you can volunteer at...
Hope those ideas help....

Introduce your self to your neighbors. They are probably wondering why you haven't already. Or go to the local coffeee shop and talk to the coffe drinkers. They will tell you everything about everybody in town.
