I like it spelled this way better Kaija.
I know a kaija and she is quite a brilliant little girl.

Kaya means rich in Malay. But there is also another meaning of Kaya here, it is a green sweet tasty paste usually eaten with bread.

Lol, in my country the slang kaya is a kind of paste-like food like peanut butter, only sweeter and green.
Suppose its not bad though.

I like it but where I live, Kaya is commonly a guy's name, meaning "stone".

I really suggest you go with Kayla, Kaylee, or Kaylnn even - Kaya just sounds weird, doesn't roll of the tongue right.

IN ENGLAND there is no one called Kaya , i think its really preety and unusaul, over here it would be a girls name !

I dislike having to actually ask how to pronounce names. I don't think I have to ask with this one, so that makes me happy. Oh, and I like K sounds. And I don't think there will be 5 of them in her class, so that's good too.
