I am creating a web page with Mozilla Composer. Everything is going well; however, I cannot get backgrounds to work. I am not adding them as an image, but as a background. The background appears when I preview, but not on the web. YES, I have checked, double checked, even triple checked to make sure I have uploaded the background as well as the changes. Yes, I have tried renaming the file. Yes, I have gone to image attributes and checked that is was a background. I am stumped. Please help.....

Check the location of the background image in the HTML source. It should refer to it one of a few ways:

exact placement URL = full link

relational URL in same folder

relational URL in subfolder

What we know for sure is wrong:

If the browser is looking for an image on a URL that starts with a drive letter, obviously the viewer of the page does not already have the image in the same location on their hard drive that you have on yours. This only happened to me once, about 8 years ago, but knowing only what you've told me it's my best guess.
