I woke this morning and there wasn't anything on T.V. so I watched cartoons with my son and noticed that Tom and Jerry had some "sexy" female characters in it. Now I remember the female mice and cats seemed kida "sexy" back in the day but they never had "sexy" women on there, did they? This cartoon lady was barely covered. Is any T.V. "safe now a days?

The problem is that the "NEW" tome and jerry series is geared as a sort of nostalgia toward those that watched it in times past. They are making them for "adults" that used to watch as kids. Most cartoons that are geared for kids now are far more risque than they were even 20 or so years ago. That comes from the fact that there aren't people that will write them anymore and instead choose to rely on unsuitable visual gags to carry the jokes. Yeah, disney stils has a few things that younger kids can watch, so does Nick, but even those arent in the real spirit of what the old, classic cartoons were.

i believe it was to give the effect of passion in one of the characters. and yes, t.v. is safe, but disney channel or nickelodeon is most suitable.
