It's right that Rome is a city. But it contains the smallest country as well: the Vatican where the Pope lives.

In what sense are you asking ? land mass ? popultation ?

Rome is a city and not a country and the West Indies are a group of indivdual islands branded together and named West indies and Malaysia has a population of 24 million +

But the smallest country of all in land mass and population is Pitcairn Islands with a population of only 45 people which is in the south pactic and is Goverend by the UK

I'd like to add my voice to that of The Mouse - Malaysia is the only country on your list, and is therefore the smallest.

The smallest (area) country on Earth is the Holy See, otherwise known as the Vatican City - a 108.7 acre chunk carved out of the city of Rome (capital of Italy).

For a "business tycoon" you sure don't know much about spelling or the differences between a city and a regional name and a country.

But thanks for the two points.
To answer your question - it would have be "malayesia" (sic) because it is the only name on that list which is a country.
