I really doubt whether we can really repay them for all they did, do and will be doing... but we sure can so something... Love them and take care of them for the rest of their life, making them feel that they are not burdens but priceless lives that deserves more.

Follow there words which is good. It doesn;t mean that parents will tell you bad words. When they go very old, they start to react as a child. That time it is you who have to tell them about the good and make them understand. world changes each secound.
It is also one kind of repay. But I would sugguest you not to think about repay. Allways, take them with love more than repay. repay may take you to seperate you from your parents. It means, you expect things from them allways. When your expectations are not filled by them, you will feel bad.It is that we don't relise it kneely in our way of thinking that "repay our parents is wrong".
It is love you give them and you get the same love from your parents. That is joy, happiness, no expectations, no heavy in your heart. It is full of joy. Simple.

Through loving your own children and doing the same responsibilities your parents gave you. You can never repay your parents.

Nobody on this earth can repay parents for their selfless love and sacrifices. Only thing you can do is to care for them with all compassion and endeavour for providing a peaceful and caring atmosphere in their old age.

To day we are hear living in this stage, because of our parents. They have taken the responsibility to bringup. In the course, some times they may go wrong results. But their intentions are not wrong.
Tell me one thing. are you married? do u hav children? Would u do , atlest think something bad for you children? what ever u plan is for ur life and for ur family. Some times what we expect may go wrong.
if they give lots of property, this kind of question would not arised.
If you feel the responsibility towards parents, you must ethically accept what ever they transfer.

Years of love? No, the years of control, verbal abuse and excessive discipline along with perfectionism, materialism and disappointment. I do love them but I have a questionable family in some sense. One learns to forgive but it is a huge amount to ask for, needs to be done, though, for the sake of getting on with life and family. Europeans are bound to the family for life--no ditching anybody except in extreme circumstances. Doesn't surprise me the divorce rate is lower than here.
