What is a sales void? Is it the same as a return or refund?

If the discount percentage is 100%, does it mean there has been a sales void?

A sales void is a transaction that is cancelled before it is ever finalized.
A return is a refund...when someone returns an item they have already purchased for either cash or another item.

Nope. It means the sale never happened at all.
