I am only 22 but I say NO WAY! Go ahead! I plan on going as soon as my kids get in school and I will be 27 or 28 then. I am not sure about where you live but I know here you can get your LPN in two years. You could always start with that .. get a job and continue going to school to get your RN. That way (if you are at a hospital or nursing home for a LPN they are likely to promote you to RN when you get your full degree.) Some nursing homes will even pay for you to go get your LPN! :) Good luck! And you know they say ... 40 is the new 30.... really not even considered "old" anymore.....

I understand your concerns because I was your age when I went back to school to finish my degree. I never regretted it and the key is, you will look back and be glad you didn't wait longer.
I mean, you need a career, right? You gotta start sometime, right? If you wait, you're only getting older.
Early and mid-30s is young enough where you still look (and are) youthful and energetic. And nurses are in such demand that no one is going to turn you down for being too old.
If you wanted to get into the music industry or something very youth-oriented, you might have something to worry about, but with nursing you have no worries.
Good luck!

Post secondary school is just that- post secondary. It's open to anyone who have finished highschool. Although the majority of students in these schools are young, there will be a minority of adults there. You will be fine if you enroll in a school and since you are going into nursing, there won't be a problem with getting hired because of your age.
Good luck!

How does sunny California sound? Get that degree, and I'll hire you on the spot. I'm talking Riverside County, but Orange and Los Angeles Counties also seem to have a severe nursing shortage.

If you look at what's happening today to businesses. The young people are being looked over because young people today are not loyal, faithful nor on time. So bosses are looking for the employee who will advance to higher grounds.
Otherwise start your own business, start off going to the library reading the grant books. There are grants to start businesses and Pay off debts. There are also books that will show you how to write a grant.
If you want to go to school. Go it's never to late. The best reverge is success. But you don't have to go to school to make it.
Use your experience in what you know and build
