yes electric guitars are easier to play than acoustic. yeah you can change strings to make the acoustic easier..but the electrics action will still be better. it's good to practice on an acoustic though

Typically, but it does depend on a few factors.
What is the gauge of the strings? Lighter strings are easier to press, but won't give as rich a sound.
How is the "action" on the guitar? If the action is set fairly high on the guitar, you'll have to press harder in order to fret the strings properly...and if its too low you can wind up with some buzzing.
If you're not sure, take your guitar to a qualified professional (guitar center has a decently trained staff) and they can help make sure everything is set up optimally.

higher quality acoustic guitars have comparable string action to electrics. electrics tend to have lower strings because the pickups which are electro magnetic in nature perform better in close proximity to the strings.

Yes, but you need to have light gauge strings, good action and a decent guitar. Otherwise, you are just wasting your time.
Go out now and buy a vintage Epiphone or Gretsch White Falcon and see the difference.

well for me it is because i have short fingers and the neck on my electric guitar is smaller than the neck on the acoustic and i can get my fingers around easier.
