I don't know about better types. But condoms usually rip when they're to full. He made be wearing a condom to small or he's not leaving enough room at the tip to catch the sperm there for it gets to small and rips. Good Luck. And you might want to look into the pill. .. or the morning after pill.

There are several reasons why condoms tear due to misuse. Each time you use a condom, you need to use a lubricant (like KY) to prevent tearing. Also, each time you have sex, you need to use a brand new condom. If you use the same condom too much, it will tear from wear. Condoms will also tear if they are expired. Anytime you use a condom, you need to check the expiration date. Further, condoms will tear if they are stored improperly. Condoms need to be kept away from the sunlight, and they should NOT be stored in a guy's wallet. Never use a condom that was kept in the guys wallet.

This could happen if there is an airbubble at the tip of the condom. Try to get out all the air and be sure to leave some space there too!

Condoms shouldn't normally rip that easily. It might be too small, or it could be worn improperly. Make sure the condom is worn under the testicles, not over them (you'd be amazed at how many boyfriends I've had who thought they had to wear the condom over their testicles). Another possibility, and this is not entirely common, but it happens, is extremely acidic semen. I'm a biologist in a medical lab and we have a kind of inappropriate term for it, but we casually refer to this phenomenon as "acid cock" - when the semen and even the body oil is so acidic that it actually weakens the latex in the condom to the point where it becomes more prone to ripping. An easy and inexpensive way to test for this is to taste the semen - if it tastes overly acidic, that might be your culprit. Overly acidic semen is usually caused by diet. A diet high in meat and dairy generally produces more acidic semen. Ideally, a man wants his semen to be more basic, because should he ever want to have a child, acidic semen can make it more difficult to get pregnant. An easy way to make one's semen less acidic is to drink more orange juice and citric fruits in general. Even though citric fruit is high in acid itself, it actually lowers body acidity. Hope this helps.

Hi, I used a condom too small with my G/F and this happened to me also. Make sure you dont use any other products besides lub also as this might cause a problem.

he could be pulling it on too tight initially, so the friction and amount of lubrication are too much for the condom.
Seems like you'd be better off with more lube...
cheers!

Uh, they may be too small for him. Or if ur not familiar with condoms, you kinda have to pinch the air out of the tip or else too much pressure at the end. that could be it.

There can be many reasons. I suggest you go to a condom website and read there. Or wait for other to tell you bits and pieces either way.

look into bigger condoms and read on how to put it on (not being rude or funny) if that doesnt work for you then go to a different method like the female condom.
